A boiler integrated in a vertical storage tank is the principal feature of the VOS. This concept saves space and significantly reduces heating costs by eliminating heat losses and peak boiler loads. You don’t need to install a separate expansion system, because expansion and degassing take place in the storage tank.

The vertical storage tank with its double-walled boiler can be fitted to a building’s outside wall, with the burner and control equipment on the inside of the wall. This configuration saves a huge amount of space. Significant heating costs are savable, because heat production and consumption do not need to occur simultaneously. Consequently, you require less production capacity than with a conventional system. What’s more, there is no heat loss caused by pipes, fittings and similar, because the boiler is enclosed entirely within the storage tank. The boiler-heated water travels through a riser straight to the top of the storage tank. This storage method obviates the need for a circulation pump. With the cold water at the bottom of the tank, the flue gas condenser functions optimally. As the hot water is at the top of the tank, the system delivers heat efficiently, as and when required.
